The campground also hosts many weekend horse-campers. Horse trails are plentiful. The on-site bar & grill is quite good and has daily specials. Mark played there one weekend. They also host horse-shoe leagues, have parties at the pool, and host other gatherings at the large grass field that has an accompanying covered stage.
Not exactly a "Things To See" because it isn't open to the public, but I flew the drone over Barb's parent's place outside Frontenac. The map to the left isn't the exact location (privacy!) but it is near the Frontenac State Park.
The day we went was "dog day"! Unfortunately, we were unable to bring Polly. The "show" is so much more than the game itself. Minor league baseball, baby!
Great open air italian restaurant (sister to Vino In The Valley). Mark had the opportunity to perform here a few times. Dogs not allowed.
Paved hiking, walking, running, biking trail. It connects Hay Creek to Red Wing to Welch and finally to Cannon Falls. Dogs allowed.
