Lake City

This was a convenient place for us to stay as we were getting ready for our adventure. With that said, our campsite was mere feet from Huettl's butcher shop. The selection there is amazing and fresh. However, Wednesdays and Fridays were "butchering" days and we would wake to the cry of cows and pigs. Not exactly what we had signed up for! There is always an upside...Polly enjoyed the fresh hooves she found nearby.

This is a great place to hike or run.
