The campground was a decent place; however, the owner was a piece of work. Just go on Google and read the reviews...they are spot on. Let's just say customer service is not his forte. We did have the BBQ one night and it was good. It's just hard to give business to someone that is so rude.
We were right in the prime path to see the ring of fire during the solar eclipse. Unfortunately, we didn't plan ahead and get glasses.
Ok, so Power Dam Falls isn't that exciting; however, we did find a nice ballpark complex where Polly could run off-leash for some exercise. Did we mention, there just isn't a lot to do in Santa Rosa??!!
This is exactly the kind of thing you'd expect to find along Route 66. Beautiful old cars and memorabilia. Some of the cars are actually for sale. Looks like the owner has a junk yard and restoration business just up the road.
This was the coolest thing in Santa Rosa. It is a popular place for diving lessons. We did take a quick dip but the 61 degree water was cold even for us Minnesotans.
This was the highest rated Mexican restaurant in the area that was still operating. It was good food and walking distance from our campground. Main downfall for us was that they don't serve alcohol!
A cute little hometown cafe with a wonderful selection of coffees, teas, and breakfast and lunch items. Very nice owner and staff. Cute memorabilia and decor on the walls.
