Crawfordsville KOA Journey
We only stayed here a couple days, as we were chasing warmer weather on our way to SC for Thanksgiving. The time of year we stayed here, early November, is certainly "off season". We were happy to find an open campground in this part of the country (think freezing water pipes).

Turkey Run State Park
We were unfamiliar with this part of Indiana and had low expectations. However, we were very pleasantly surprised to find this hidden-gem of a park. Several wonderful hiking trails and I imagine they are quite beautiful when fall colors are peaking. One of the hikes we liked the most led us through deeply carved mini-canyons. Polly was quite young and was a super-trooper climbing a ladder (with a little help from Mark).
